2026 Seeds for Bees Application

Project Apis m.'s Seeds for Bees® program awards cover crop seed to farmers and beekeepers within the state of California. The program's seed mixes are designed to bloom at strategic times of the season, providing critical pollinator forage and multiple soil health benefits. 


Seeds for Bees® is a program of ProjectApis m.,a nonprofit organization, which relies on donations from businesses, farmers, and beekeepers and does not receive government funding. 
Seeds for Bees® is a multi-year program:

  • 1st year participants qualify for up to $2,500 in free seed
  • 2nd year participants qualify for up to $1,500 in free seed
  • Returning participants (3 or more years) qualify for discounted seed prices and free shipping
    Applications are evaluated based on their forage potential for managed honeybees, local ecosystems, native species, and adjacent working lands.

Regenerative Almond Orchard Field Day

UCANR and EMRCD invite you to the first annual field day at the UC Merced Smart Farm Regenerative Almond Orchard demonstration site. The purpose of the field day is to present, demonstrate, and discuss options for planting a new almond orchard using regenerative practices.  

Space is limited, so we are prioritizing this event for producers. Technical staff are welcome but are encouraged to bring producers with them.

When: Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm

Spring Native Plant Sale 2026

When: Saturday, April 25 from 12 noon to 4:00 pm

Location:  Berryessa Brewing, Co - 27260 CA-128 Winters
 

Offering a wide variety of plants native to our area and perfect for drought tolerant landscaping and pollinator gardens. Workshop subjects and times TBD

Cost of parking and admission is free! Forms of payment accepted for the plant sale include card, cash or check. Food and adult beverages may be available to purchase separately from Berryessa Brewing Co.

Please bring your own box! We have a limited supply of plant trays available for use.
