July 2026:

Management Plan Update

Water quality monitoring is a requirement of the Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program (ILRP), and additional monitoring is required when a subwatershed is under a management plan (MP). The Dixon/Solano RCD Water Quality Coalition currently has a Management Plan for Hyalella Azteca Sediment Toxicity in Ulatis Creek, as well as an addendum Management Plan for Water Column Pyrethroid Pesticide.

We monitor for pyrethroids in both sediment and water at Ulatis Creek at Brown Road (UCBRD), which serves as the representative monitoring site for our subwatershed.

To successfully complete the MP, we must have zero pyrethroid exceedances through August 2028.

Monitoring Results:

Zero exceedances for the 2025-2026 monitoring year!

A big thank you to growers and applicators! Please continue to use BMP-best management practices while using pesticides, especially pyrethroids near waterways.  The 2026-2027 monitoring year should be very similar to this year.

Below is the water quality monitoring schedule with the constituents monitored for that month.
